I still can't understand why vette owners put up with this. Its a special car, not some common commuter. I am a member of multiple car forums and I can tell you that no other group would ever tolerate the lousy workmanship seen in aftermarket vette body panels. Mustang owners, Tacoma owners, camaro owners etc demand far superior quality to this stuff. From what I read on this thread, CC flares should be free. Any more than free and they would be a ripoff.

I simply don't think the volume is there to demand it. Out of every 100 corvettes I bet only 1 or 2 consider a modification. It's not like the plethora of mustangs and such out there; who only really get hoods. It's not that they shouldn't expect high quality, but who's going to stop it. Furthermore MANY (not all) of the guys that DO mod are insanely cheap. I'd rather spend decent money on good product; but these are now almost 20yrs old at their earliest vintage. That means they have met the hands of people not willing or used to the costs of parts for a (new) near 50k or above car.

vendors and quality moved to c6/c7 and with c6 having OEM options, we are lucky to get anything. Hell we can't get front fenders and we can barely get hoods. Every car with these massive rears looks so imbalanced with the narrow fronts. There are only 2 L5 options and I'm not even sure I can order them
anymore. The REAR quarters people DID want (TPE) are now trapped on this weird gray area of possible production and likely re-entering extinction.

Subscribed, I noticed I have a hair of rubbing with new wheel and tire setup. Am considering wide fenders or potentially coils to reconcile. What is the consensus best fitting wide fenders?

All you guys with 12" wide wheels!! What back space as you running? I'm about to order some weld RTS 17's and figured I'd just order the stock 8" or (7.8" to weld) RTS just 12" wide? I don't want the wheels to poke at all so I'm nervous as hell!

I got a guys number out of Vegas (I believe) who sells front and rear 1/4's. 2" wider in the rear, 1"-1/4" front, The look like the TPE (maybe is same guy??) who sells the tears for $899 plus freight. And they looks super straight with clean edges. I do collision repair for a living so I'm insanely picky about these after market parts and I believe his will be the ones I order. Pm me I'll give you his #. And fwiw my buddy bought the carbon creations 1/4's and while they fit "OK" for the most part and were decently straight they wouldn't be somthing id leave raw carbon, had cracks and chipped edges and the lines arnt perfect straight here and there. Plus there heavy AF!

If you're ordering directly from Weld they should be able to calculate the backspacing for you.

Can't say for certain what's on his car however Corsa manufactures a system made for the Tiger Shark rear fascia

It is a Corsa exhaust, I assume the Corsa Tiger Shark. It was on the car when I got it so can't say for sure.

well good eye NemesisC5! Good looking exhaust. Is it loud? I like like loud lol

Also weld got back to me with The back space for a 12" wide wheel
17x12 7.9" BS will sit almost flush can only run a medium pad spoke,
17x12 with 8.4"BS will sit in 1/2". I went with 8.4" bs, so I can stuff em up in there, and I'll run a 1/4" billet spacer and a LOW Pad wheel to match my front alumastar Flat spokes.

Corsa sounds really mild until you get on it, then it lights up and sounds really good.

I'm with you on this one. When i got my CC fiberglass fenders i ran into an absolute nightmare with the quality. i mean it wasn't even close to fitting. they stuck out 1/4 inch on both sides (uniformly improper fitment). I had to get the carbon fiber ones and those didn't even fit PERFECT. i couldn't have ran those without paint if i wanted to because it needed touchup.

I really think these companies are going through second rate chinese manufacturers to have this stuff built so inherently only 50% are coming out as correct. The only advice i could give to someone going down this path is to price out a good shop that won't rape you for labor and make sure you don't buy used wide body fenders. If you do and you have issues you are SOL.
