Default Flat Tire???

Im' running Michelin Sport A/S "run-flats" so today when the warning bell went off and it read accross my dash screne "warning, reduced handling, maximum speed 55mph, right rear tire flat" I said a few choice words and headed home. When I looked at the tire, it didn't look flat at all so I checked the air pressure and it was 35lbs. Then I checked the other tires...35lbs. The tires have a valve stem on each with green "nitrogen" I'm assuming there is nitrogen in them, I can't remember if I asked the man I purchased it from or not but I don't think that would that have anyeffect on the sensor(s) would it? I'm thinking I have a bad sensor.....any ideas?

I would be willing to bet you have a bad sensor.

Just had the same thing and if it persists I'll order a new TPMS.

Probably a low battery in a TPMS. Keep that tire(s) up (in the DIC) and see if you get a "XXXX" showing no reading.

Unfortunately, 2000 is the last year of the expensive TPMS, cost about $85 each compared to $35 for later ones. COSTCO may have some cheap ones. OR there are people who can replace the batteries cheap.

Here is a link for some cheap ones: search for them on Amazon

Does sound like a bad sensor if when using a tire pressure gauge it reads 35 psi.

Thanks for all the advice...I guess I'll replace them all.
