Default Vert Trunk Lid dimensions needed

Hi all

Would someone be kind enough and let me know the dimensions on the trunk lid from left to right and Front to Back. On the Front and Back I am looking for the dimension from the center edge of lid from front to back.

Thanks.

Thanks!!! On the bottom measurement of 52 5/8 .. is that the full length from Bottom to Front? The reason why I am looking for these measurements, I have a large Vette aftermarket parts supplier who is interested in reselling my removable luggage rack that I made for a C6. I am thinking of modifying my design to fit a C5 as well....

The 52 5/8" is the width of the lid at the very bottom, it tapers from 57 11/16" at the very top.

just a suggestion : why not find a C5 vert at a local car dearler and measure away? That might help you determine mounting points, bracing ,etc. How about a local Corvette club meeting? There's nothing like getting your hands on the actuall piece when you're designing a retofit. Good luck.

Or get one from a yard, then you can actually fit the prototype to the real part.

Sounds cool! Any pics, besides your avatar, of the C6 luggage rack?

I thought they looked cool on some older C3s and I would like to see how it looks on a C6.

I actually hooked up with a Z06 owner today. My rack fits perfectly on the trunk without any modification needed. I have been told a number of times the trunk is the same for a Vert. Just need one more measurement now. The tonneau cover in a vertical position and the measurement to the rear edge of the trunk lid. Just want to make sure it wont hit the rack when putting the top up and down.

Hi MSG.. Here are some photos of my car and some folks who have "gotten" a rack from me. I am not a forum vendor so I cant post my website that has a lot of photos. Black Powder Coated and Chrome Powder Coated

Other Folks C6's

This person used it to put a spare tire on back for a long trip where they would be perhaps over a 100 miles from no where.
