Leatherique...great stuff! (Pics Inside) (UPDATED)
Ive used leatherique in the past on my Saabs leather seats (which are quite beat up with 16 years and 165k on them) and had great results...it was time to do them again so I figured Id do the Vettes seats as well. Even though my car has only been in climate controlled garages its whole life and only has 8k miles, it is still leather and needs to be conditioned. Honestly I didnt think Id be able to see a difference (you can definately FEEL a difference with the softness and suppleness of the leather), but it did actually get a slight bit darker! No prep, i just smeared it on by hand, worked it in, left it 24 hours (it works better in the sun if possible), then used a very damp cloth with lots of elbow grease once over everything and then a dry cloth. It leaves the seats looking...well, factory. A dull sheen to them and a nice softness. No weird smells or anything like that. Did the seats, steering wheel, ebrake boot and shifter boot. I also did my entire L shaped leather couch and leather ottoman, and still ahve more than half a 16oz bottle left...its really some great stuff! Worth the 20 bucks I paid off autogeek! Cant wait to hit my Saabs seats again and my parents leather couch too!
Heres the before and after (Note the stress marks that have disappeared on the seat bottom bolster closest to the passenger door and the darkening of the entire seat, particularly the side bolster near the center console and the large flat seat bottom itself)
UPDATE
I also got around to doing my daily drivers seats. This is a 1996 Saab 9000 Aero with 170k on it. The seats as they sat before with crappy armorall leather stuff on them, after a scrubbing and wipe down with a generic all purpose cleaner, and then after applying leatherique and letting it sit overnight, then buffing with a damp cloth. They appear greasy, but its really just the leather retaining moisture again...they feel so much softer, and alot of the cracks in the bottom have disappeared. This stuff is the real deal.
Before, with armorall still applied:
Cleaned:
Treated and buffed:

No i used just the rejuveninator oil not the cleaner. When wiping down i used a very damp towel because it gets sticky. After its actually cleaned tho itll feel sticky but thats just the moisture of the leather and how it should feel...were all just used to dried out leather.

I agree its very very subtle...the feel of the leather is much different though. The best difference is looking at the before and after of the side bolster closest to the center console...you can see it got a shade or two deeper. You can also see the bolster on the seat bottom closest to the passenger door used to have some light stress marks in it but they have since disappeared. I should have taken some before and afters on the drivers seat. There is minimal wear as you have seen with all low mileage c5's, but the leatherique actually eliminated some of the smaller creases in the leather and made it so much softer to the touch. I still need to pull the seats forward and do their backs as well.
Mr. Bill: I used the rejuvenator oil, not the cleaner. My seats werent dirty (and Ive even seen people skip the cleaner oil all together, but to each his own).
Calvins: Its supposed to put the moisture back into the leather. My only other real experience with a cleaner/conditioner is lexol. Lexol is good but I never achieved this level of softness in the leather. This may not be as pronounced on our cars since most of them are well taken care of (I do feel a difference however), but older leather seats...which feel like cardboard from years of contaminants and sun abuse...will become soft again. They say you can also use it on anything leather, including jackets. There is a huge difference on the feel of my couch from using it. Its one of those things you just need to try out for yourself, its kind of hard to explain. The key is letting it soak in for almost a day, preferably in the sun. For 20 bucks I find it well worth it (especially the amount of items I am able to do with one bottle).

Burning Brakes
Just ordered a 32 oz. bottle of both cleaner and conditioner. I found some really dry spots in the vette and the wifes tahoe could use a good treatment also. Thanks for the review on this stuff. I have been looking for something like this.

32 oz is going to last you a long, long, long time. Better start making a list of all leather things you own! Haha. Just be sure to give it adequate time to work, its not a wipe on wipe off sort of thing.

Thanks Driver. I read on the manufacturers site and it's recommended to treat 3-4 times per year...lots of leather around here with the vette and the wifes tahoe so...thus the 32 oz. sizes. Yep, saw to leave the product on for a day. No problem there. 32 oz. of prevention hopefully is worth about 1762 pounds of cure...
