Default dash glare

2 questions:
I have a 1998 black corvette with black interior. The glare from the dash on the winshield is pretty bad. What can I put on the dash to tone it down.

Is the steering wheel and other parts of the interior with similiar apprearance and feel leather, pleather or vinyl.

Thanks.

Do you use Armorall on the dash? If so stop using it.

Not sure about the material but there is always a dash mat....

Is there any armorall or shiny product on the dash? If so maybe try using some 303 Aerospace instead. will definitely help but not completely eliminate...

Aerospace 303 is my favorite vinyl dressing. Goes on smooth, not oily and leaves the dash with a nice clean, satin finish. No glare and that's coming from a guy who lives in Florida and drives a convertible!

Just try cleaning the dash with a moist cloth and some mild dishwashing soap. Follow up with just a moist cloth, then with a dry soft cloth. That's all I use on my dash and I do not have any glare problem.

Do you have a HUD? I notice the same issue (even with polarized shades) and believe it is caused by the reflective nature of the HUD windshield. I don't use any type of enhancer on the dash. Try to keep it clean and dull to reduce the glare.
