bookmarked, do you remember where you got the solid clears? on ebay they have chrome and black

that looks fairly simple and keeps me from having to pull the cover....which i was not looking forward to doing. i always scratch something when i pull front bumpers

black tint is easy to make. add a small amount of black paint to clear coat and shoot them. 1/2oz paint to 6oz clear will give you a nice smoked look

Thanks to the link for the replacement of the turn signal housings. I need to replace one of mine and this will come in handy.

Would anyone happen to have information though on replacing the sockets themselves?

that's easy. soldering iron, flux, heat shrink tubing.

rock auto sells the socket replacements that you can solder in

Loosen the sockets, pull down the brake vents in the front bumper, then pull the sockets straight through very carefully, replace the sockets making sure the wiring from the socket corresponds with wiring looms(by color), carefully push the sockets/wiring back through the brake duct, reconnect the negative battery cable, check the DRL lights to make sure they're working properly,if so, plug the sockets back in. It's all good. One of the easier DIY projects, IMHO.

Seems easy enough. Decided to just change out the burned sockets since im putting new LED bulbs in. Got some acdelco sockets. They arent color coded. But come with everything needed i think. They just come with a note mentioning grease. I dont know what socket needs grease besides some di-electric grease for the connectors. Just hope i get the resistors installed correctly.
