You may want to check out this thread for some ideas as well. ET's is in there as well as some others.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...ake-ducts.html

I like the ducts that are blended into the rocker and color match. Even the OEM C5 Z06 ducts just look like an after thought. I also agree that if you are going to do them, make them functional as well. But that's just my opinion.

I spent 40 hours, cutting and fitting and glassing them in, then sanding and filling. I had a body shop paint them. They said I did a good job and could have installed them and painted for 800 dollars. I wanted to try doing some body work and if I screwed it up, I would have someone fix it. What I did in 40 hours would have taken the body shop 10 hours. The body shop charged me 150.00 dollars to paint both rockers. Its a 1200 mod but it's much cleaner and nicer looking than the soft ABS Z06 style ducts.
ABS is way too soft as a sub straight for paint. The paint will come off easily because of sand and other road debris. My ducts are fiberglass, much harder than ABS and much more able to handle any road debris.
AWESOME JOB!!!!

Haters gonna hate.. I love my(stick on)Z06 Brake Ducts on my car! 5 minute install, no hacking into my car involved, they go with the Z06 wheels and screens I have on and best part only $20.

I bought the stick on ones, because I have this problem where I second guess everything. So I didn't want to cut into the car, then look at it, and hate them.

If I decide I really like them, I'll go with the real ones. Although, they'd probably rub on the tires. Hell, I don't know. Every time I look at this thing, I think something different.

I need to drink more...

Tough call...

My FRC is white, so I know what it looks like without them, and I considered doing it from a 75% function point, 25% appearance...but now that I see them on your car, I just don't know...

Like was mentioned before, maybe with skirts, or even splash guards....

Personally not a fan of the black halos on c5s. I love the brake ducts and black wheels, but would get rid of the halo if it were mine.

Try painting the screens silver to break up the black. I tend to agree with Mr Bill. There is too much black.

If it were my car, I'd only add the scoops if they were functional. I like what Evil Twin has compared to my Z's factory screens

Very clean car!!!!!! Corvettes speak for themselves on design. Sometimes I feel like too much change cheapens the car. Gives it that boy racer feel to me. Your car looks like pure class the way it is!
