I usually make it to Branson every year when I go to visit my dad in Joplin. Sometimes spend a few days at Table Rock.

That said, if you still look at which one will come out on top if you let a person go hog wild, and build the living snot out of it..... The V8 will put up the better numbers end of the day....

There is no replacement for displacement, even when boost is involved... Just look at crazy *** aussi dyno videos for awhile...

Money can make anything faster. BMW is a nice car but you can't compare modified vs stock. We are talking apples and oranges when comparing out of the box performance. One thing no BMW is ever going to match is the curb appeal of American muscle. I like and respect al brands of cars but as they say "Vette gets them wet"

I have to disagree. A Euro V10 sounds far better in my opinion. The noise the V10 makes in my BMW E63 M6 at 8500 rpms is pure sex. I've owned it for three years now with a full header back exhaust with no cats or resonators. I still grin ear-to-ear every time I hear it, and get tons of complements on the noise it makes everywhere I go.

This is the same exhaust that is on mine......

With 500+ hp, 7spd sequential manual trans, and a top speed of 204mph (speed limiter removed) it is a blast to drive.

I am a fan of the E92 335. It is a great car, even in stock form. With a tune and other basic go fast goodies, it can quickly become a pretty fast car. Anyway, congrats, enjoy your Bimmer

Here is a pic of my M6.....

I've run a couple 135i's, a 335i, and one of the z4's with the same engine, a sdrive35is I think it was. All with bolt ons/tune, and they were near dead even with my stock 02 Z06 from a roll. Traction would likely put me well ahead from a stop, but power wise they were probably putting out more power than me since they weigh more.

A used CPO 135i might be next car. Just not as cool as a vette, and I could get a used c6 z06 for not much more than than the bimmer, so...

Nothing against exotics, i just have never cared for the sound.... They are their own kind of song if you will..

However, i have always felt that the sound was TOO refined...

You hit the throttle in almost anything euro and its this nice refined TONE...

You do the same thing in american muscle, and its RIP your face off SHAKE THE EARTH oomph...

I think both speak heavily of their origins honestly... Its like the difference between euro pop and rock n roll... Both have their place, but they have VERY different feels...

You never mistake which one made which noise either when its coming at you down the road....

This was running just 93octane, no E85 mix. When running a 60/40 mix the car picks up a ton of torque downlow and just pulls forever.

Im not here to start ****, I loved my vette I just wanted to come share incase anyone has ever been interested in a 335i and had no idea how easy they are to mod and how fast they can be.

Also if you want a turbo upgrade you can get RB turbos for $2,999 and put down 500rwhp with 450lbs of torque at 2200
I drove my friends mildly modded 335i....that sh*t is always broke though. Vacuum lines dry out then leak, waterpump went, turbo went. I love some bimmers but the new bimmers carry the top mark in unreliability with jd power.

Great car though...i enjoyed it.

Co-worker dumped his Dinan 135i becuase he was sick of the reliability issues with the fuel-pump and the last straw was Check-engine light and getting stuck between Dinan and BWM when they argued who was going to pay for the engine tear-down to figure out what the issue was.
Sure it was fast while it was running well.

Basically, BMW's have always been a big expensive pain in the *** IMO.

Remember that thing I said about BMW's getting porkier with age? That BMW E63 M6 of yours (sweet engine no doubt) weighs over 800+lbs more than a Vette. Its a 2 door coupe also. Thats where all similarities end.
