Default F45 delete help

Posted this in tech but got no responses, hopefully someone here can help. Hate to rehash a topic that has been discussed at length, but after searching and reading numerous threads I have a basic question...

When do you unplug the Electronic Suspension Control (ESC) module (wiring harness in the rear) ?

Before deleting the F45 option with a Tech-II or after deleting the option with the tech-II?

I have read several different things, and I am just trying to get it straight.

Also from what I understand they key should be in the "on" position while deleting the option correct?

Thanks

you must remove the computer before turning the option off. the tech2 will not be able to turn the option off if it sees the computer connected. and remember not to ever plug it back in, or the BCM will turn the F45 option back on. or so I'm told!
I had a shop turn it off, so I don't know exactly what the procedure is for doing it.
