Default how tall is okay for 3157

I'm looking to get some LED 3157 bulbs for the DRL/turn-signals. Does anyone know off hand how tall the bulb can be and still fit within the stock housing? I was looking at some that are 60mm (2.5") tall. Seems big considering a regular 3157 is about 2" tall.

I wanted to get it from JW since I'll need a hyperflash harness also, but the non-switchbacks are out of stock. I want amber only LEDs for the front.

2.5" inches will be iffy. I know a 2.1" bulb will fit, but there's not a whole lot of room left.

I'd give it a 50/50 chance of fitting. There are lots of 52/55mm bulbs out there (2.1"), so why risk getting a bigger one IMO.

As much as I wanted it to, a 2.5" DRL did not fit.

I have a corner light sitting here, I just measured and from where the bulb mounts to the top of the inside it is less than 2 inches. It is 1"27/32 which the bulb would hit the inside top or less. After market clear lens.

Thanks everyone for the helpful answers and the measurements. I was thinking it would be a tough fit. Actually from the numbers it looks like it would have been a non-fit.

Since changing them is such a PITA, I didn't want to have to go through it twice.
