Default painted consoles, etc.

Does anyone have console, dash, etc. painted Light Oak? My interior is Lt. Oak and black and I don't want to add a third color(mag red);I want to keep it two-tone, but I've never seen anyone with Lt. Oak.Thanks

Don't recall seeing a console painted tan, but I do think one painted mag red would look very good in your car. I have a black/gray interior and painted my console/radio bezel electron blue to match the outside of the car.

Dennis at DD Mods has modified shale consoles so he may also have some oak examples. Send him a PM.

Thanks, I looked them up and I'm not wlling to pay $425 and I guess plus shipping, to paint the console;that's outrageous! and you can get them up to about $800 They did have a light oak listed.

I worked with him on my double-din NAV system and went with the half-wrap leather/CF trim and was happy with the end product, however if you're just looking for a color change, I agree there are less expensive solutions.

My next suggestion is to check out the SEM website. I ordered a color chart from them and they list GM match codes so you can line up the color to your exact interior trim code.

As to the prep and application process, send member SFC Rick a PM as he pretty much converted his black interior to red using their dye.

We are not just painting the console. You are getting a modified double din ready bezel.

I'm kind of liking the painted console but am curious how easily they scratch and how durable the paint is.

I'm curious about that too. Also, I just want a stock bezel;I don't have gps or whatever that large screen is . And is it glossy?

The light oak is NOT clear coated and gloss finish. This is a finish similar to stock.

The Body color bezels are painted with base coat clear coat just like the outside of your car. So scratches swirls ect would be the same as it would be on the outside of your car
