Nicely done !
I did the exact same with mine.
Super easy and not expensive at all.
Spade connectors fit right on the factory connections too !

I have one from a vender here and the instructions have you bend the factory connection to fit the bulb. It sucks and the connection is terrible and causes the light to flicker and although it is brighter, it does not look near as bright as yours. Plus the factory connecter is all f'd up now.

I will be receiving a shipment of All-new COB style LED mini-boards that are MUCH brighter than any current LED option. They should arrive by the end of the month. I will post up photos when they arrive.

I just tried to install mine in my Z and ended up breaking one of the copper ends trying to crimp it and destroyed my whole light assembly.
Now I'm going to have to purchase the light assembly and another correct fitting led like ABOVE to do it right.

These can be used for the trunk area as well. It just takes a little creativity to mount them. If you decide to use these for the trunk I suggest additional tape, adhesive, or 3m adhesion promoter. It's hard to get these to stay "stuck" on the plastic back there.
I used additional tape on the back of the strips for the trunk

GREAT Mod! I did mine awhile back BUT...I tested the amperage!
The original GM bulb draws 1.3 amps.
The LED panel draws 0.15 amps (almost a tenth of the original!).
So?...Well, think of you battery at a show!
With the hood up, the lamp is on until the timer turns it off (about 10 minutes). All that time and you're pulling 10 times the juice from the battery with the original bulb - all for no reason!
Well anyway, it's another benefit!...
(Looks GREAT BTW)

I got these from Jhonathan awhile back & mounted them on both sides of the hatch/trunk & they look great! I wiped the area down with a little alcohol & they've stayed in place just fine for a couple years now.
