Default Track results first time out. How do they look?

Ran my car for the first time last night at Osceola Dragway. Only got to make three passes but overall I'm satisfied. It was about 75 degrees out but im not sure of the DA. There was a 5-10 mph headwind.

First pass the car was heat soaked and I spun out of the hole and had to pedal it which resulted in a 12.61 @ 113 mph with a 2.1 60ft.

Let it cool down for a half hour before I ran again. This time I bogged out of the hole and ran 12.80 @ 111 mph with a 2.1 60 ft.

Last run of the night I let it cool way down, did a good burnout, and had a decent launch. Ran a 12.35 @ 113 mph with a 1.81 60ft. (also yanked a bolt on 03 cobra this pass)

Details on the car:

1999 FRC 6 speed
Stock rebuilt LS1 with a "mild comp cam" and PAC valvesprings.
Stock LS1 heads
Stock LS1 intake manifold and throttle body
LG super pro longtubes, 3" offroad X-pipe, B&B bullet catback.
Vararam intake
Old unknown tune (before headers and vararam, dont know who tuned it)
LG short shifter, LS7 clutch
Mickey thompson 275/40/17 drag radials on aftermarket z06 wheels
Full weight car with 1/2 tank of gas

What do you guys think about these numbers?. I think by adding a ported throttle body, LS6 intake manifold, ported LS6 heads, and a new tune I could easily be in the 11's. If the stock rear end can take it that is lol.

Let me know what you think!

Nice times for the way the car is setup. Run cold, run with 1/8 tank of gas and get the launch just right and you are going to be real close to the 11's.

Thanks guys! Ill be back out soon to get some more practice. If really like to cut a 1.6x 60ft if it has the power. Also might try lowering tire pressure an cooling the car off more.

Also, are you guys shifting into 4th or winding it out in 3rd? I had a hard time deciding what to do there and ended up using 4th gear going through the traps. I think my car still has stock rod bolts so I didn't want to push it too far past 6000-6200 rpm.

I always have to shift to 4th right at the very end.. My best 60' so far is a 2.0 on my 1999 frc... im worried about rear end.. did you have any issues with wheel hop? and is it ok to run the car cold? oil temp, etc, low..? i have heads/cam/intake/exhaust/etc.. my best so far on street tires is 12.03 @ 123MPH with a 2.0 sixty foot....(hooked pretty well, but wheel hopped a bit....) that's what worries me...

Thanks

The only time I had wheelhop was when I was starting my burnout. It was very minor wheelhop, lasted two seconds maybe? I used to get wheelhop bad when I had street tires, now that I run drag radials it has pretty much disappeared.

And by cold I meant the intake manifold not coolant temps. I usually stick my hand on it to see if its heat soaked or not. I like to run the car just as its reached operating temp. Maybe head to the staging lanes when coolant is at 130-140 degrees that way by the time you do a burnout and stage it's fully warmed up but not heat soaked. Anyway that's just what I like to do....there are probably better ideas out there
