A Short Story To Tell .......
Saturday morning at the Lone Star Classic , people were busy doing this or that to get ready for the show ... Anyway a few hours had passed and I noticed a C5 Vette that looked like Vetteman Jacks only it was white but had all the graphics on it .
So I walk over to the car to check it out and a lady approaches me and I say to her wow ma'am you and your husband have a beautiful car, and she says well thank you young man , I say you'll must have gotten here early to set up ( there were C5 banners , some checkerd tiles under each wheel etc.) she says to me well it's just me this year , my husband passed away a few months ago and this would have been his tenth year coming to the Classic ... I did not not know what to say , so I just listened to her story , and at the end she says so this year it's a tribute to him .... I told that was a great idea .... All along thinking how short all of our lives really are and how selfish I must be to spend the time that I do with my car and friends and not with my wife ....
As evening approached me and my wife were getting ready for the Ballroom Dinner and trophy prevention, we step out of the elevater and begin to walk therw the main corridor of the hotel to the Ballroom and there the lady was again sitting on a sofa , watching people walk by I could tell she felt out of place and was very alone ...my wife had no clue that I had meet this person that morning anyway we go up to her hey there would you like to sit with us for dinner tonight and her reply was she was still all hot and sweaty from the day but thanks anyway , I tell her I don't care what you look or smell like it will be fun ..she thinks about and says sure why not ... It was happy hour when we all got down there so we kinda got split up along the way ...
A few hours had passed and the announcer had said we will now take a few mins. Before the awards , my wife goes to the ladies room and while I was sitting there the lady comes and sits down next to me and Mr . Williams I thank you from the bottom of my heart , you have truly blessed my weekend .....

That's a very nice story James. "Random" acts of kindness go a long way! You never know, a little invite or holding the door for someone can make all the difference in someones day! It's nice to hear you made hers!

A very nice thing you did James.

My wife loves doing the random acts of kindness
She will buy some family's dinner, drinks for a table who are celebrating a birthday or some other occasion. Really it makes you feel good plus in today's world we all need a bit of kindness. That lady will never forget you.

James is one of the best people to have around for anything. I can vouch for that. I was broken down Friday on the way to the show and called him up. Idk how the hell he did it, but in 10 minutes he was there to help me get rolling again.
