What does your C5 look like its worth?
Im sorry if this has been discussed before but Im just amazed when people ask me how much I paid for my 01 C5. They are usually off by 20 grand or so but today at the gas station a guy came up to me and said "that is a nice car I bet you spent around $50,000 for it" haha thanks but no! One reason I love these cars...12 years old and still looks new and expensive

I always get those people assuming it was expensive too. Usually the answer (at least to my coworkers) is... I'm sure I paid less for it than you paid for your (insert mundane appliance car).

Mine looks like what it is, a pristine, excellent, garage kept, 2003 Z06 with 24K miles.
Current value in KBB and in Atlanta, GA is between 26,000.00 and 28,500.00

I have an 03 Yellow ragtop with 19k miles in perfect condition. It would take more to buy it from me than anyone would be willing to give. That's what it's worth to me.

I just sold a Harley and replaced it with 2001 ragtop. I paid $21K, felt it was a bargain by condition and miles. I don't know if the market is soft for Corvettes. Maybe it fluctuates. I feel I got a lot for what I spent.
I do know I will no longer be riding alone. My wife had no desire to get on the back of the bike after some 30yrs of riding. She is as excited about this car as I am and I doubt I will miss the Harley.

I bought my '98 used in 2000 with 11,000 miles on the odometer. It now has 25,500 on the odometer and many mods. Not to sound like I have a big head, but it's priceless to me. It's the only car I've ever owned that I love more today than the day I bought it. I just took out the trash and had to stop and admire it in the garage for a few seconds before finishing the job.
When I bought my car I was still a police officer and had to watch people roll their eyes and listen to their comments about how "well paid" I must be to afford such an expensive car. I paid less for it than for my wife's SUV, which always made me chuckle.
