Hi....do I have to use a Kooks X pipe with the Kooks headers? Will it bolt up to a Corsa X pipe?

Kooks headers are longer than your stock manifolds, so you need to also buy a new, shorter Kooks X-pipe. Thanks!

Default 2" Kooks

I called and was impressed by the price, a lot lower than what I could find online.I had ordered the 2" headers without coating. It took about 3 weeks as Kooks was slightly backlogged. There only producing the new style. Just received them and very impressed with quality of the headers. Nice clean bends and nice welds. Was surprised as they also included new gaskets, connector clamps and bolts. Now onto the install. Hopefully they install just like the videos. Really easy.

Received my Kooks 1 7/8 race versions a few days ago and they were a breeze to install. Didn't need to remove starter or alternator, just FRC's and coil packs. Six hours from start to finish. Highly recommend !!

Do you notice a difference in interior temps with the coated header/x pipe? I was just talking to my coater about shooting my stock setup, but this is a hell of a deal. I plan to do some insulation as well, but I wanted to know if the console still gets hot with the coated exhaust.

Coated helps, but we do not have exact measurements.

I don't have the science to back it up but my console is no hotter with the coated headers I purchased than with the stock exhaust. I only did the LT's not the x pipe also. But after 2.5 months the finish looks like new on the headers. I could not be happier !!

Now if I can just scrape up enough dinero to purchase a supercharger set up to go with them I will die happy

Default How does size matter?

Okay, so I want to add a set of headers to my 2000 C5 coupe. I have the Z06 mufflers and a Veraram cold air intake installed already. The question now is 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" headers? I plan on adding a cam in the future. So should I wait on the headers and do cam, headers and tune at once, or can I add as the budget affords?

All thoughts are welcome.

I bought a set of Kooks coated LT Headers, X-pipe with green cats and mid pipes from Maryland Speed last June and highly recommend them. Their price was amazing and their customer service is great. The backlog is understandable and worth the wait. No other MFG offers LT's built specifically for the '97-'00 (except ARH) but no other MFG makes LT headers as easy to install as Kooks, both sides slipped in from underneath in literally seconds. It was worth it to me to purchase a premium product that installs so easily and fits so well. Maryland Speed has the lowest price "hands down" as they say and not just on Kooks headers. All things considered these are the best headers imho.
