Default Best color wheel for pewter?

Torn with wheel color/options,

Love the polished aluminum on my car right now (stock thin-spokes)

However, some color corvettes look great with black, some look great with chrome, some look awesome with a brushed finish or colored wheels or all of the above!

The best looking set up (IMHO) I've seen is chrome/polished or black with a chrome/polished lip on a pewter Vette. Somehow though, imagining anything different than that seems to just clash with the color. I am saving for some forgestars (not set in stone thought) next year and just want to know if I am missing any combinations that look good with this color. What do you guys like on pewter?

Would love to see pics of pewter Vettes with aftermarket wheels!!!!

Pewter with Chrome really pulls the pop out of the pewter.

In my opinion both chrome and polished aluminum look great on a Pewter.
Black doesn't show the classy color of pewter well.
Here are 2 samples of chrome and polished.
Mr.Bill

C6 5 spoke chrome.

FIKSE FM10 3 piece forged.

Chrome, brushed, or light gun metal, but I wouldn't go with black or any other dark colors IMO

After owning a Pewter C5 for 6 years I would suggest a set of Polished / Chrome CCW's. I always wanted these for my car. I agree black wheels detract from the beauty of Pewter

I have Motorsport Z06 black face rims with machined lip with rivets. Check them out in at West Coast Corvette or Mid America Corvette

Have you not seen Toque's 2004 Z06? If you want to see the best looking wheels for that color just take a look here:

Awesome! Thanks for the replies!!! Other wheels (in addition to the above) I would love to have would be the CCW T10 or SP500's but I don't quite have the funds for them...

Those Mosports do look good!!! Just not quite what I am looking for myself as I want something that looks a little more aftermarket in appearance, but still looks like it belongs...doesn't weigh much more than the thin-spokes, I can afford.... etc, etc. That's why I'm leaning towards the F14's....but still want to see what others have as I am still open to ideas and appreciate people's input!

Very classy looking Mr. Bill.

Yes, Toques Z....anyone that does not know his car has not been on here very long!

Isn't Toque's color Quick Silver? I don't think Pewter was a Z06 color.....

Yes, but they're close enough to use as a comparison.

, However, there just seems to be a tint to the pewter paint that doesn't make it as versatile as silver for wheel color options.
