My new Kwiklift experience
Last week I bit the bullet and ordered a Kwiklift. I tried to find a used one in a reasonable driving distance but gave up. I just wanted to share the unpacking, parts & stuff. Photos are from a phone and my garage is trashed so be gentle.
This is the box on 2 pallets as shipped from Kwiklift. The box was in good shape until I drove through a monsoon from the shop to my house.
This is box 2 of 2 with more goodies.
This box was in box #2.
Contents of box.
Here are the ramps upside down for assembly.
Upside down ramp with folded leg.
Another of an upside down ramp to show the bracing.
Together with the lift bridge on the near end. I think I'm going regret not ordering and additional bridge.
Together from the front.
Together from the rear.
I unpacked and put it together by myself in about an hour. A buddy to help would save your back and some time.
This thing is straight forward and easy to assemble. It's also thicker steel with more bracing than I realized. With the epoxy on my floor it did slide on the first drive on attempt but with my rubber shop mat at the end of the ramps it went right up. It has bolt holes for three different lengths. I set the ramps to the longest to give a lower approach angle and didn't drag the air dam.

Looks great & I'm sure you will get many years out of it!!
Funny thing is that I was under the impression that the company that built it had gone out of business...LOL

I am sure you will love it! Built like a tank!
I cut some custom heavy-duty door mats to put under mine to keep it from sliding or breaking any floor tiles. I also added casters to mine so I could break it down for compact storage by myself in about 10 minutes. Getting ready to buy a 2nd bridge now that they are back in business...

You might as well order up another bridge. It's on my list. Shipping may be on the high side though. I must inquire

I cant really see what much use you would get out of this other than oil changes and maybe exhaust work or if you need to under part of the motor....what do you do when you need wheels off, or drop engine cradle etc?
