VATS key question
As pictured, I have a spare key so that I could lock/unlock the console or glove compartment without taking the key out of the ignition. Also just ordered a couple of VATS keys.
It should be the right one, as the ohms were checked. Would I be able to put blank key in the ignition and be able to turn it if I held the VATS key close to the ignition?? Or does the VATS key actually have to make contact?
Just want to be positive it works.

Bought some on Fleebay and had them cut by a locksmith.
VATS keys make contact with the resistor pellet.
PATS do not. If you have a PATS chip near the ignition you could start the car but not a Vette.
