Default She's finally dead...

She started her life 10 yrs. and 7 days ago in a '03 coupe that was born June 23, 2003, the last day of production I am told...She has never failed me, but today nothing but a final good bye "click".

I was told this would happen some day...but I had hoped not so soon..

A pic of her vitals right after here last moment..

RIP my dear...Thanks for the memories...

You should see how many other owners have had this problem. It may be time for a class action lawsuit!

I've got one in my bike with more years than that. Battery tender everytime it's in the garage, Vette too.

My Delco which was mfg in Dec 03 was so good I replaced it with another. I still have the original in the garage and put a trickle charge on it once a week. I keep it for a back up. It is 9.5 years old and all that time spent in Florida where the heat is hard on them.

I'd be happy with 10 years from a battery. Yours held up very well.

From the title of the post I was afraid I was going to read about a wife, or Mother, or Mother-In-Law, or cat, or dog .... glad it's just your battery.

Nice! Now don't mess with perfection. Go out and buy another AC Delco 7 Year professional battery. The C5 model loves them or maybe it's an MSG thing.

I had my original OEM battery 7 years, but decided to proactively swap mine out after upgrading my stereo system and external/internal lighting to HID/LEDs. I live in Florida, so heat can cause a sudden death in batteries and I thought I was already pressing my luck.

And I'm coming into this thinking there was an accident! haha Nice run you had with that. I'm sure it will be missed.

Lost a little value though.... cars with the original battery fetch a premium!

I think if you grab the terminals with both hands, you'll find that it's not completely dead.
If you're not a self-starter and are using a pacemaker, it's possible that the dead one ends up being you. <g>
