Default Factory CD changer not playing CD's

I tried to listen to a CD and the changer would not play any CD. The changer has power ,it ejected the magazine and would take it back in. It has been a while since it was used but it did work . Anyone with an idea what it could be?

Make sure your disc's are in the correct way in the mag.
My first guess would be that age has something to do with it.

Mine did the same thing. Instead of paying $175 or so to have it fixed I just bought an iPod interface and now I have more songs and easier selections. And, the passenger can easily make their own selections. You are welcome to PM me your phone number and I can explain what I did and show you where I routed the connection.

Try the small reset button on the face of the changer (you'll need a paper clip or something that size to push it in)

I PM'd you with my number if you want to call. I would prefer to discuss the details rather than spend 30 minutes to explain my specifics.

With that said, I got the interface from Dennis at DD mods. It deletes the ability to use the rear CD changer, but who cares? Does require the removal of the radio but that is pretty easy.

Here are 2 options.
1 For the rear hook up where you remove the 12 disc changer. With this option no need to remove radio.

2 For when you have no changer and hook to the back of the radio.

Ipod interface is a very simple install. Follow the directions for setting the dip switches and you are gold.

It is common courtesy that you start your own thread, Not HiJack someone's else's thread.
