I've been looking through different builds for inspiration and came across this roof scoop mod.
http://www.factoryfiveparts.com/gtm-roof-scoop/
Should add a touch of agressive style to the build and functionality during hot days. Maybe install a flat section that allows me to open and close the vent off.
I am also digging the sideskirt section of this. I can maybe cut and mold parts of the skirts that are the best looking and have it conform with the body of our "new" vette.
I will talk to the team on monday about it and we will see what happens next.

Well...I'm gonna flat out disagree with you on the roof scoop dude....cmon now. The NSX and GTM are mid engine to at least marginally justify having it. Beyond that, why would you do that? You're bordering on rice with that...no lie. The build looks good, for the mostpart, why compromise it with a roof scoop. It isn't a rally car or a mid engine....it has no place.
You want a roof scoop...I'll cut you my GTM's off right now...
I co-owned a company building turn key GTM's for track day purposes.

Its just up in the air. I throw alot of ideas on the table when I build things. After examination, research, and more studying. I then choose the best canidate. I will contact you for the offer if the time comes.
If I were to go that route I would make a flap on the inner portion of the vent so I could close and open it for air flow to the interior.
I don't see myself putting on the a/c during 105 degree track days. The roof scoop would help lower cabin temps while racing. Functional things are never rice. I'm one of those I don't run a/c even when I have a/c type of guys. I usually just roll my windows down at all times when getting into a car unless its raining.
Pic for reference:
After a long decision, the famous corvette front nose has been shaved off. I will be making it more smooth in days to come.
The only way to pull off celica headlights is to have the fenders and front bumper to be symmetrical with the rest of the body flow. The headlights have to line up with the rest of the car. I believe I have succeed in doing so.
I will now have to form the hood to the form of the fender since the c5 vette setup has a canyon like dip on each side of the hood indentation. The vette flattens out then dips downard as it trails down the bumper. The only option to create a upward out flowing line surface that starts from the bumper/indentation and ends where it plateaus to the fender.
Pic for side of hood to fender flow reference:
I also installed some c6 front foglights. I may or may not do the brake duct mod to them, but as of right now they are fitting.

Yes. This is the 2F c5.6 front bumper. It was a near perfect match to my c5 body. It looks great with the pop ups still attached. Quality is far superior compared to alot of the bodykits I deal with on a regular day. I would recommend buying it. Probably a 9/10 on the fitment and quality scale. 10/10 being oem.

On a side note, I picked up a rocket bunny wing to give me an idea on how I will recreate the rear wing. I will obviously have to chop it up, make some bends, and extend it. Here is some teaser photos:

Awesome work.
I always wondered why nobody installed a smoother flowing headlight design into the C5 and also change the hood lines to match.
I can't wait to see the results.
I like the roof vent idea.
Anybody have a pic of that orange vette from, I think, Sweden. I think it was called Extreme Vettes or something. I really liked that style roof vent. And yes, they put the roof vent on to help with cabin cooling during track days/racing.
I looked everywhere for a pic of that car and can't find it. I think they changed the color to grey. Over a thousand horsepower. Awesome car.

After doing math and adding budget into play, I decided to go with the forgestar f14's
http://www.forgestar.com/v2/wheelsf14.php
Super deep concave model tho. Similar setup as Stay Crushing in Polished Piano Black
After doing my wheel math, I will be purchasing 19x10 +18 fronts and 19x12 +6 rears.
I will probably need a 10-15mm spacer in the rear or fill it up with a bigger tire to compensate with the lack of fender clearance.
This is the best looking wheel option I can go with. I really didn't want 19's, but I guess I can run a 18" track wheel on the side once I come across a setup for a steal.
All other options are custom ordered and won't offer the style I want in the concave look without dropping 4-5k down. I will just use the forgestars as a street wheel and go CCW for the track.
Installed the rear c6 quarter panel vent thing. Looks proper. Just need to paint it black since fake carbon is more worse than a Nicki Minaj Acapella song with no *** shots. Terrible.
I also mounted up the rear tail lights and started fitting the rear president license plate lights. I will be blacking out the rear tails and smoothing out the imperfections in the rear. The 3rd brake light will be non existent as well.

You may recognize this car...not to shabby with the roof scoop in my opinion

I must be insane. I thought it was extreme vette.
That is the one I was talking about. At least I got the Sweden part right.
They have painted it grey now.
My favorite roof vent.
Best pic I could find though. (besides the orange one, which is also good)
