C6 Z06 brakes on C5
I jus purchased a full set of c6 z06 brake calipers, basically that comes stock on a c6Z. My question if anyone can help me is do i need stainless steel lines or do the lines that come stock on a c6Z suffice?

The C6 brake lines have a different size fitting on the frame-rail side compared to a C5, so you definitely don't want the C6Z lines. Purchase a set of StopTech C5 braided lines from LG Motorsports. They are slightly longer than the OEM C5 lines; making them perfect for the C6Z caliper swap. ZIP also has some braided C5 lines that are the correct length for the conversion.

For everyday street driving you won't notice a big difference over stock, at least I didn't, but man they look awesome & with the stainless lines and Motul fluid you will have much firmer pedal feel as well.

The research i did suggests that there is an improvement over stock breaks and like the OP said they are going to look really sweet! I cant wait to get them installed. I feel like i got a pretty good deal on them as well

I had everything I could think of bought and ready....including those brake hoses. When they were flare vs the C5 bubble flare, I had to rush to have a set made, this being Tucson, the biggest small town you'll ever see. Luckily, we've got a D.O.T. approved builder here that whipped me up a set quickly, but it still took a day-which killed me in rack time.

Those are part numbers for the Stoptech C6 brake lines; you're right they won't work (the Stoptech C5 lines will however). I mentioned earlier how the C5 & C6 lines have different frame-rail side ends. I think the OP is getting a bit confused here. Just get yourself a set of the Zip stainless C5 lines found in the link I provided earlier. I have used them numerous times for this conversion.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I love mine & I'm sure you will as well, but the stock c5 brakes have been more than sufficient for street use, but I'm all about change as well, and on a c5 they look awesome

Exactly....I did mine for looks 90%....mostly to fill up the wheel barrel, and to add some color to a plain colored car.
