hvac blues
hey out there, im having some trouble getting the hvac unit out of my 99 c5 . i got the two bolts off the fire wall all of the bolts from the inside.what am i missing ?can anyone help. and does the bar running from one side of car ,does that need to come out too?

I am very confused as why you are having a problem removing the HVAC controls, there are only two bolts that hold the unit in, and it slides out without any other connections other then the wire that plugs into the back of it.

im sorry for the mix up but im replacing the heater core. and i have removed all the bolts under the hood and inside the car but the unit still feels like i have missed something.

I would find someone that has a service manual for your car or purchase one to help out, doing just a little searching yielded some pretty scary pictures.
