Unfortunately my car will have it's first winter without a heated garage. How many of you have the luxury of heated storage??

well, my garage is attached to the house, so there is heat transfer enough to keep the garage well above freezing all winter. However, I do have 2 240V electric heaters, one at each end of the 3 car garage for when I want to work out there in the winter. I can get the temp up to the mid sixties in about a half hour. There is no need to keep it at that temp all winter long.....car starts just fine on those days I take it out.

I bought my house because it had a 3 car garage detached from the house.
Garage was not finished inside. A good friend of mine and I finished it out with insulation, sheetrock and 9 8ft. light fixtures, racetrack floor blue and black checkerboard, heating and A/C

My garage has heat. I set it at 40 most of the time. If I am working out there I bump it up to 60. 40 keeps anything out there from freezing and it dose not come on much. Less than 40 is not real common here.

I keep my car in an unheated garage, and if it doesn't like it it can pound sand.
Seriously, these are cars. they don't care. I don't even keep my wife in heated garage.

Heated for all cars (2 Corvettes and 1 daily driver).
C3 in heated controlled storage facility.
C5 in attached double car garage with house. Garage has 240V electric heater attached near celing and all walls and ceilings have pink insulation behind sheetrock and back of garage door has one inch thick insulating panels. The garage is the best insulated room in the house!
Even with no heat on and outside temps at zero..garage temps never gets below forty degrees. With furnace I keep the garage at 65 degrees and inside the house 67 degrees.

Melting Slicks
bobeast,I'm just glad i have a garage to keep er in! I was thinking….the older vettes with all the seams and laquer paint jobs probably needed heated garages. Newer vettes don't have seams all over the place to expand and contract drastically with climate changes+ lacquers been gone for years..not that it didn't look nice.

You need more than a heated garage to do it right:
1) Place car on jack stands to take weight off suspension and
to avoid getting flat spots on the tires.
2) Drain gas.
3) Remove rocker arm assembly to relieve stress from valve train.
4) Remove spark plugs and spray WD40 into cylinders.
5) Drain oil (motor and supercharger).
6) Remove battery and place inside.
7) Remove targa top to avoid damage from heat/cold expansion.
8) Place moth ***** in interior so rodents don't set up home.
9) Just kidding, I don't do any of this. I just pull the neg cable from
the battery.
