Ok wagon wheels maybe not my favorite wheel but they do look good on red and blue Corvettes ! I would rather have original GM wagon wheels than many after market wheels that people spend 2 to 3 k on them and are so ugly ! many members here have shown off their expensive chrome aftermarket and personally id take a wagon wheel any day ! but of course I never tell anyone that they have ugly wheels I just leave my opinion to myself on that subject and only because I know they spent some big bucks on them ! in that case please go back to your wagon wheels they look better !

As for chrome I really never liked chrome wheels on C4's and newer and I would never buy chrome wheels on a Vette unless it's C3 and C2 !

At first (when I bought the car last year) I didn't really care for the Wagon Wheels, but they grew on me quickly. Maybe not my favorite wheels of all time, but I like them a lot now, and don't intend to change them.

Sax, that was meant to be a compliment as I think it is a regular Nevada plate but good numbers and letters for someone residing in and around Vegas. (and you don't have to pay extra every year for a vanity plate)

That's cool Keith, a few yrs back when I got the T-Bird vanity plate "CASHSAX" it cost less than $30. it still costs an extra $20. every year to maintain it (what a rip)..

For my ' Vette currently the DMV told me it's around $50 for a personalized plate. plus the yearly fee...I said screw it. That's when the DMV guy asked if I wanted the triple digit plate free of charge. I guess they make up the triple digits each month and offer them on a first come first serve basis. He asked what my first choice was, I said "triple 7" he went in the back and came out with the plate you see...Was my Lucky day..!!

Had the wagon wheels on from new (8/97), finally got new wheels a couple years back. Went with C6 sizes, in a ZR1 style - wheels were on sale at Tire Rack, added Michelin Pilot A/S - I drive it all year round except when there's snow on the ground - packaged with new TPMS sensors. Also lowered the car a touch to even up the "air" round the wheels in the openings. Only problem appearance wise, is I keep thinking I need bigger brake discs to fill out the wheels better!

I must be used to the set up now though, because when I see a C5 with standard size wheels, I think they look too small. The old WW's plus bald Firestones are now on a rack in the garage. So glad I built an oversized garage when we built the house!

I have seen a couple of really good looking wagon wheel setups - one owner had a silver car, with the Lexan roof and had blacked out the "B" pillar to match, and also blacked out the wheels, except for polished rims. The other one was on this thread, with the center panels of the spokes blacked out. Both, IMO, look good and give a totally different effect from the OEM "grey" WW's.

p.s. not a fan of chrome wheels. They make me feel guilty about not cleaning the car often enough.......

Mine had chrome wagons on it when I got it. The PO did not take care of them and they were pitted. I would have kept them otherwise. I like them in chrome on dark color cars. They look better than almost every aftermarket wheel I see on here. To each his own. I will say they don't look good in the original color. They do look good black though. And I don't normally like black wheels. Most black wheels just look cheap. Polished whhel look like someone trying to have chrome wheels they can not afford IMHO.

I remember the first time I saw a c5 it was early 1997. And yes it had the wagon wheels on it. These wheels bring me back to the time i said "one day I will own this car"

15 years later...after finally getting my dream car....I cant part with these wheels, I looked at different wheels z06 zr1 etc, but the moment I fell in love with the c5 it had the wagons. Wagons will stay.

They are light, look stock and bring back great memories of the corvette......give it 20 years when these are in high demand as owners will be looking to go back to oem.

Please respect the wagons.
the guys who approved that wheel should have been fired

So how many wheels fit the C5 coupe? I have wagon wheels and thought about changing them but it seems like everyone has the same few wheels.
Wagon wheels look more unique now.

I actually prefer the stock chrome wagon wheels! Of course I might be crazy as my wife's "55" Chevy has American Mags on it and I like the old "steelies" with the "dog dish" hub caps better. Also, I have never had a credit card or owned a cell phone either...

I still prefer the look of the chrome wagons..but mine seem to leak air. I have good tires but they lose pressure after a couple weeks..I read somewhere the chrome wagons can have that problem.I like the single spoke polished alloy factory vette wheels, but man they cost big time.. luckily air is free so I'm keep my CW's for now..
