Could have been much worse
My good friend Brandon - The Dingo - on CF gave me a ride down to Va Speed to pick up the Cruiser. Tons of traffic on the way home. We stopped in Fredericksburg to gas up and it had just started lightly raining. Coming back onto 95N I had just moved over from the merge lane and doing maybe 50, the car suddenly made a hard left turn traveling at a 90 degree angle across an empty lane. The last thing I remember was a windshield full of tractor trailer wheels and thinking that this was the end and I was going to get run over by an 18 wheeler. I hit the rear tractor wheels dead on. Loud noise, the airbags went off and I spun around but still managed to beat the airbag out of the way and steer the car to the shoulder. Either something broke or I hit an oily patch. A couple behind me pulled over to make sure I was OK and told the LEO that I was not speeding or doing anything froggy and that the car just turned left. I called Brandon right away and he came back to help.
The Tiger Shark nose is gone and the MCM hood also. Even if it can be fixed - doubtful - those parts are no longer available. Front fenders also gone. The front cross piece is toast along with the radiator and who knows what else.
Oh well, it's just a thing and after thinking that semi was going to part my hair differently, I'm actually pretty cool to it all. Some abrasions on my arms and chest and my upper back and neck are tightening up. Nothing major here.
I'll know more early next week but it certainly looks totaled.

You are one lucky guy! Me and another member were just talking about how those trucks are vette destroyers! Great that you are okay but sucks having the car damage too. Hope it all works out okay for you. Best!

Glad that your ok. I live in Fredericksburg. I heard the traffic was really bad today and that there was multiple accidents. I'll bet you can get it back together but it will take some time. If I can help, let me know.

So sorry to hear Kevin. I am certainly glad that you are okay. Could have been a lot worse. Hopefully they can put The Gentleman's Cruiser back together again. Best of luck to you.

Your car itself made a hard left turn without you turning the wheel? If so and that wasn't a typo is this one of those scary Steering Wheel Position Sensor failures? That's very scary if so. Material can always be replaced (even though it's still hard to lose something you've worked hard on), I'm glad you're alright!

Kev-
Man this sux! After just getting her back....
I can't tell you how many calls I've responded to where a car or truck even has taken on the backside of an 18 wheeler and been demolished. And or as you mentioned gave someone a new part... I thank the man upstairs and have to think your abilities to make things with wheels do what you want has a lot to do with you still being here for us to enjoy
Nice save Big Kahuna and ill be checking the forum for updates. Man since you're okay I can't help but think how that sux that pretty show n go vert might be totaled. But I am sure your fam is elated that you're okay and so am I

My shoulder and neck are a little sore but not much. Everything else seems to be in working order.
It had just started drizzling and I think the rain lifted oil out of the asphalt and may have even pooled. That makes the most sense to me at this time.
If it is totaled, I may salvage it and part it out. The wheels and suspension look ok. The motor is probably ok also and the Stage 4 RKT drive train. Leather interior, A4's and Kenwood/JL sound should all net some $$$ for the next project.

Dude thank your lucky stars! Forget the car, the fact that your wounds are superficial and that you could walk away is what's important! I know it sucks that the car is gone but you now have a new adventure with another car
