Default Fix for Key Fobs not staying in sync

I bought a 98 vert a few months back and the key fobs didn't work at all. Put in new batteries and synced em to the car then they worked. But the next day they didn't work again. So i had the chip inside the fob resoldered as per the tip from readers here. Same story no good next day. So i pull out the receiver to check on that..

The antenna was so lose it almost fell off when i opened the case. Had that resoldered the next day and it's now been 4 days and they are still in sync. So if yours is doing that try that fix

Should be located in the trunk area on the drivers side. Carefully, pull back the carpet in that corner and you should find it.

yes thats where mine was. But i have to tell you after awhile the same problem came right back again. After much grief and swearing i finally gave up on that **** and had a new remote release system installed cost me like 120.00 which i thought was very reasonable and never had another problem with the system.
