Default C5 Muffler Eliminators?

Hey guys, I don't come around here much unless I'm looking for stuff for my grandfather's C5. Anyways, I know it's pretty popular with C4's to cut off your mufflers. We have cats and a resonator that keep it pretty tame even without mufflers though and drone isn't really there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the C5's there is only the cats and the mufflers to muffle the sound. My grandfather loves the way my '93 sounds with muffler eliminators and wants to make his sound better without spending $$$ on a catback.

The real question is; do any of you C5 guys have muffler eliminators and how does it sound? Is there a ton of drone?

I have electric cutouts installed just after my x-pipe, just before my magnaflow mufflers. With them open the drone is insanely loud. It sounds good but it's definitely not something I could do all the time.

Check out the B&B Bullets. I would then go on YouTube for some video sound clips. I would also do a Google search on the Bullets and see what people say about them. I plan to try them on my car in the Spring. My C5 is stock and that will be first/initial exhaust change I make.

I don't mind some drone if the rpm range of it is not in the spot that normal driving speeds (that is driver dependent). is a problem. If it is a small rpm range and I can drive through it can be ok. Drove a friends stock Viper one day and the drone was so bad I returned it to him within the hour even though he had offered it for the day. No drone under acceleration but cruising along was terrible.

I put Bullets on my 02Z06, along with Kooks LTd and non catted X pipe. I love the sound. There is a lot of drone, especially at low rpm, but cruising isn't to bad, but still no where near quiet. The exhaust at wot is almost deafening, and AWESOME The wife hears me from over 2 miles away... Oh, and I have 5 grandkids.

I like.. That doesn't look like it'd be too hard to do.

I have B&B Bullets on my car and do get a drone in the 1800-2000 rpm range.
