C5 battery cover, who sells them in black ?
Hay, I'm looking for a black plastic battery compartment cover, anyone know where to look for it ? ecklers sells them, But I will not pay $17.00 to ship a $52.00 flat black plastic part. I'm tired of the "Corvette tax" Thank you !

OK I'll look them up. MA doesn't have only one in red, same as the Auction site and their at $49.52 plus $9.50 in postage ????????
Why does everything you'd like in a accessory or replacement part cost 1/3 than normal ?

Ok, I got a pretty good price from Ecklers, so I went for the $47.00 and they shipped it for free. Can't beat that. Shipping charges is where we al take a $ hit. If the part was for say, a Silverado,. . it'd be a whole lot less, but just mention it's for a Corvette, and it's off to the races !

Too bad I missed reading this thread earlier. I have the black one sitting in my "unused mods" box. I only ran it for about 2 months before I switched to a different type of cover. It's still in perfect condition and looks brand new.
