Default Sun of a Gun! Wish I could install these!

Just received the Sun Guns CF shrouds from JW Motoring today. They look absolutely magnificent! Can't wait to get them on the car. Unfortunately, the state of my C5 doesn't allow me to try these out and see what they really look like on the best set of HID headlights on the market.

Currently "molting".

These are the Sun Guns shortly after I installed them and a few other owners with Sun Guns sans shrouds. (Hope you guys don't mind!)

Here's a sneak-peek at the carbon fiber shrouds that were delivered today to finish off the look of the Sun Guns.

What they look like on the designer's C5

I need to tell myself not to rush through the mods I'm currently doing just to get these on - the shroud install will be the crowning glory to my latest creation.

Thanks, Michael and JWM!

Patches, those look great and will be a nice addition to the car. Also, those catbacks look incredible - can't believe the shine.

I'm anxious to see them mounted but, oh well.

Catback is GHL Bullets.

Hey Patches! I got mine in the mail yesterday too! So excited to put them on. I'm jealous though it looks like you are having all kindsa goodies installed on your beaut!

These shrouds look like pieces of candy! Just gorgeous

And like someone mentioned these lights Michael made for the C5 are so awesome with or without the shrouds. I would have rocked these lights if the shrouds were never made. They are definitely the icing on the cake or like I told Michael yesterday. When it comes to these shrouds the juice is definitely worth the squeeze

Those look sweet.

So I have to ask, why do you have the car tore apart?

Nice, it will make the lights looks finished.
Can't you just pop them on quickly like the stock shroud?

Adding a bit of power so gotta' start from the ground up with drivetrain and suspension.

That'd be like trying a silk tie on in your underwear . . .

Who made the CF shroud? Do they make other parts as well? I'm guessing (maybe incorrectly) that there will be a low volume run of shrouds. Looking for someone that is open to making other CF pieces for our old C5's!

Does anyone know what bulbs come in the high beams and can they be upgraded? Bought my Vette with the Sun Guns installed but the high beams leave much to be desired.

The Sun Guns come with halogen bulbs for the high beams. You're right - they don't contribute much output over the low beam HIDs. I replaced mine with HID 55w 6000k bulbs/ballasts to match the low beams. Along with the Hi-4 harness (allows all 4 lights on at once), there's plenty of illumination now.

Is any special wiring required to convert them to HID?

Can I use your lift to clean the underside of my car...it's only about a 12 hour drive.
Your car is flawless, nice upgrade on lights and very tasteful!
