Mark, I am using a set of Taylor 10.4 mm wires with 45 deg. boots that I bought from Summit. The lengths of the wires are progressively longer and can be cut to the desired length before crimping the plug boot in place. These are heavy-duty wires that I have been using the short version of for a several years - quality is excellent.

I will need wires once I relocate the coils to the fenders too.

Thanks !

I had mine custom made by Performance Distributors. They are the Davis Ignition "LiveWires" also listed on Summit, however Summit doesn't offer custom lengths. They can do whatever you need with the connections of your choice (straight, 45*, 90*). I went with straight except for my #4 wire which has a bracket in front where the oil stick is connected.

http://performancedistributors.com/p...let-livewires/

I went with 38" wires for all 8 and it worked out great with how I routed the cables. Thought about the MSD universal route at first, but for this pair with heat sleeves built in and $20 more than the MSD set...couldn't pass that up. As far as the harness adapters...got those in 36" from eBay. He lists $40ea, but I got the pair for $70 with free shipping. Great quality. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LS1-LS2-LS3-LS6-Camaro-Corvette-Ignition-Coil-Relocation-Harness-Extension-/201156992611?vxp=mtr
The relocation brackets also from eBay. Great vendor with excellent customer service. $60 for the pair. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281291998928?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I hope to be tackling the task of the fuel rails and valve covers this week.

I also want to switch to the round LS7 coils due to the Maggie fuel block preventing the linear mounting of the larger LS1 coils on the driver side. I do not want to do the remote fender mounting of the coils.

Very nice !

I just realized that I don't have my new setup posted here...

This was just my "inquiry" thread before I did my setup in July.

Phase 2 will be relocating the coil packs in the fenders.

I ended up going with the ProForm covers (had them powder coated RED), and the Holley Fuel rails with black lines.

I had been researching it for a while. I got them from eBay and they were, in fact, Delphi coils...not "knock-offs". The vendor's customer service has been top notch.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Delphi-12573190-Ignition-Coil-Set-of-8-LS2-LS3-LS4-LS7-D514A-/130911586038?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e7af046f6
The LS1/LS6 coils put about about 40kmA. I was originally looking at going the truck coil route since they have heat sinks on top and are good for 110kmA. I opted for the LS7 coils because I knew they would work and for the relocation brackets were for this particular coil. No one makes a relocation bracket for the truck coils since the mounting points are on the sides. I believe I read the LS7 coils have a 85kmA output and are actually larger than the LS1/LS6 coils.

Thanks, I have one additional questions. The LS7 coils use a different wiring harness from the LS1, did you get the coil wiring harness from the bay?

Correct. I got the brackets from the same vendor I got the coils from as a complete kit. I then stripped the harness from each bracket for the relocation. I don't know what GM or Delphi used when wrapping the harnesses, but they were so stiff so I just recently purchased some short harnesses specifically for relocation brackets with the coils closer together like mine. All still work perfectly with the harness extensions I got posted previously.

Thanks Mark. Maybe one day I'll come up with an idea that you can "pirate" from me

Got the coil packs inside the fenders.
