Default Show me your Valve Covers with Coil relocation setups !

Guys:

I'm considering doing a different valve cover setup with Aluminum fuel rails, and coil relocation.

I have been looking around at different valve covers and fuel rails lately.

Show me what you got !

Based on the responses you may be the first...seems unlikely.

I have always liked the mechanical look of an engine. I never understood why manufactures started covering up all those pieces with cheap plastic. I went a relatively inexpensive route with mine. I powdercoated the valve covers and coil brackets, made aluminium covers for the fuel rails and painted the coils to match other accents on the car. I am not too happy with the little covers I made and may change out the fuel rails for something that looks nicer than stock.

You could always hide them under the covers, Billet Specialties, black or polished. There is another company making something similar I saw at Goodguys event will post if I find them.

Will these clear the alternator? They look to high to do so without some modification.

Very nice guys ! Some good ideas in here !

7LitreC5 : What valve covers are those ? Katech ?

StealthFRC : Those covers have also been tempting me. Getting a set powder coated RED and leave the letters in bare aluminum. Where are your coil packs ? You got the ultimate look I'm eventually going to get to.

Where are you guys getting the relocation brackets ?
The ones that mount over top of the valve cover.

I was considering getting these plane valve covers (below) and coil relocation bracket.
Get the covers powder coated the same RED as the engine covers I have now. I like the splash of RED in the black engine bay.

Or these valve covers (powder coated RED).... with relocation bracket.
Leave the SILVER letters not painted.

After I get this all setup... start looking into getting Fuel Rails, and also full hidden coil relocation setup.

One step at a time though I guess....

Keep the idea's coming guys !

Thats a very interesting idea. I don't think I like the look of those covers specifically, but if there were other designs I would like to see them.

Mark, I have these valve covers I will be installing. I ordered the coil relocation brackets with these but obviously will not be using them now that I've relocated the coils to the fenders. Let me know if you go with this setup and want these brackets.

coils are in fenders. fenders come off in about 15 mins each.
i made all the plug wires myself and ordered the coil harness extensions offline. overall its a pretty easy mod. i contemplated painted the covers and leaving the lettering polished but after placing them on the engine as they come they grew on me.
the coil brackets are off the big auction site just search "ls1 coil relocation" and you will see them
