1998 Medium Pearl Purple With Stripes
Looking for something that might or might not even exist. I have a 1998 Medium Pearl Purple and am thinking about adding some kind of stripe to it. Thinking maybe a charcoal or cyber grey color might look nice and subtle. Does anyone that has this color ever installed any stripes on theirs? Looking for some pictures if you have anything to show me. I'm not completely sold on the idea though. Might not look good with this color.

Isn't Medium Pearl Purple a bit of a rare color? I know the word "rare" is often overused, but just the same I haven't seen many, let alone ones with stripes.
As long as they're removable I'd say go for it!! You don't have anything to lose but a few $$.
Good Luck!

Ya it's a needle in a haystack kind of thing but thought I would check and see if anyone is here and has done anything. If not I will get it done with some vinyl and see how it looks. I will post pics when I get it done. Got a guy local that does custom one off kind of stripes that wants to do this.

Really appreciate the cudos CQRT. Can't wait for fall weather so I can go up to Fountain Hills again. To darn hot now.
Instead of posting all the pictures again I will post a link to my Grape thread if anyone is interested.
If and when I decide to do this I will post pics in this thread and my other one too.
Here's the link.

Best bet in my opinion is to work with Mike at Vette Stripes. You can get an Avery catalog from a local shop or from his site http://www.vettestripes.com/color.html, then hold the samples up to the car to see what you like the best.

Isn't it close to MSG but with the purple tint to it? Darkness level I woudl think is about the same from what I've seen in pictures.

I know it's not a color you mentioned, but IMO silver would look good with your car's color.

Appreciate the compliments everyone.
So you think a silver would look better then a darker color? I definetly want something with metallic in it so it kind of flows with the paint. Maybe a 2 tone kind of thing. Wide and thin stripe theme with a silver and darker silver?

I don't care for stripes personally but that color would definitely look better with a light silver than a dark gray. Even a metallic burnt orange could maybe look good if you wanted to add some color, if I knew how to photoshop stuff I'd just try out tons of colors.

A lighter silver will bring out the purple in your color while a darker one will darken your perception of your color and bring out the gray in your original color.

Yes, I think a silver would go much better with your car's color than a charcoal or darker gray. Take Vette Stripes up on their offer and have them send you samples of silvers and grays and see which one looks the best. And if you want a two tone look to the stripes, a silver similar to pewter and one like quicksilver in a heavier metallic could look good.
