Default RSD Snap vs. TPS 427 Shifter

Ok, after reading thru numerous threads about short throw shifters, I think I've narrowed it down to these two,

RSD Snap Shifter

or

TPS 427 Shifter

So who is still running either brand and give me one last opinion before I buy.
Thanks, Zane

I have the RSD Snap Shifter and it's great. I like the feel of a stock C6 shifter. The reason I went with the Snap Shifter is because it comes with a new box. I don't believe the TPS 427 does.

I'm sure you'll be happy with either one since they're both cutdown C6 shifters

I have the RSD, I've put about 1k miles on it so far, and it is far better than the stock shifter was in my Z06.

I have read the reviews and it seems like a nice piece, just seems a little overpriced compared to the others.

Very high quality shifter. I use to have one that I bought new 3 years ago. I did the anti-venom mod like most do. What I didn't like about the shifter is going from 4th to 5th. Too much lateral force needed to get 5th gear. I'd often missed the gear. I still had to apply lateral force to shift into 6th gear. Basically, just not for me especially for the street.

I have the RSD unit in my 04 Z16. Big improvement over stock. No experience with other units.

I have the TPS 427 shifter and it is one of the best mods that I have done to my car. I also did the anit-venom mod with 2 washers.

The TPS 427 shifter was at a price $$$ that I could live with.

They're pretty much the same thing. I believe the only difference is you get the lower box with the RSD unit (If you buy it new).

The lower box is optional for the TPS 427 if wanted also. Not sure on the price difference between the 2 when that comes into play.

I just recently bought the TPS shifter and it came with the box. I haven't installed it yet so I can't offer an opinion yet, but the price with the box was excellent.
