Wonderful day for a detail.
This evening was a great day to detail the engine compartment, I did my yearly simple green and Zaino to the engine bay.
I am happy with the results.
Did the body last weekend with Zaino.

Hey Bill,
Your engine bay looks amazing!! A couple of questions if you don't mind. I've read a number of times about the Simple Green engine bay detail, but they all say to cover the alternator and battery, which is just common sense, but how do you get your alternator looking like it was done with the solution as well??? I want to do it, but am chicken as mine is my only car and I can't take a chance on making it un-drivable!!
I would love to have a detailed description of your procedure, step by step if possible.(Such as...do you stuff rags under the front of the intake to protect the knock sensors, etc.) I hate the way my engine bay looks, and it was so very pristine when I bought it two years ago. It's my daily driver all year and so trying to keep up with wipe-downs and dustings just ain't gettin' it!!!!
Thanks in advance,
DSTURBD
