Default Just dumped Techron but tank was full !

Ok my fault, I went out after reading some of the threads and how everyone recommends Techron on here and bought 2 12oz bottles that treat up to 12 gallons each! I know our cars are 18 Gallons or so but my tank was full and I dumped 1 bottle only ! I know I wont get the proper mix but I still have another 12oz bottle, should I dumped it now or wait until my tank is near empty and only fill it to 1/2 ?

The reason why I went out and got it is I just filled up my car yesterday and my needle would not go to full ! it took about 20 minutes of driving to reach full and at times when my car is 1/4 tank
it goes to empty within seconds than back up again ! it does this only once in a while so I figured Techron is the answer !

Thanks guys !

Put the other bottle in when you're about 3/4 a tank left, then fill up again.

I'd dump it in now. It'll mix.

I would wait until you're down near empty - - -then dump in the Techron - -then fill up so it's blended into both tanks - - remember- you have two tanks; your right tank is already full, so you're only adding the Techron to the left tank if you pour it in now.

From experience, I put 3 different types of fuel system treatment/cleaner at one time...did nothing and still have the gauge error

If you research how the fuel system is designed in the C5 when both tanks are full the fuel is circulated from right tank to left tank via siphon pump and returned to the right tank until volume in the right tank is down to about 50%.

Your techron will mix if you dump it into the left tank when the system is topped off. Waiting to dump your second bottle of techron will not accomplish any better mix than doing it now.

Agree w/dumping the second bottle of Techron now. Since your gauge is already acting up it may take more bottles of Techron in the near future b-4 you see improvements in your gauge readings. Good luck!
