I replaced all of my hoses with silicone hoses a couple of years ago and they all fit perfect... if all else fails you might try contacting the makers of those hoses to see if they can sell one separately, I think cca sells them so you might try contacting him as well

go to your local parts stores and measure the 5/8" with a dial caliper some runs are small. i found a roll of gates 5/8" that measures identical to the OE 9/16"
bought 5ft of it and still have a chunk. 9/16 marked hose is impossible to find
even if you do find a GM dealer with the correct hose it sells for a touch over $10 a foot.
i would not use 5/8" blind. some of the hoses i measured were way too big for the c5 and were more like 11/16" not 5/8

I have not looked into silicone hoses...I am sure the quality is fine, but would be concerned that it wouldn't look the same as all my other OEM-type hoses. If you get them in black, do they look the same or different?

I have all black samco hoses and they are real nice, the other ones sold by jegs and cca look identical minus the samco name on them... they look a bit different than the oem hose, since it is silicone they aren't as dull as a rubber hose, basically the same look as any silicone coupler you see on an intake

atp turbo is the big silicone supply house, they have nearly every silicone hose you can imagine. boost couplers, coolant hoses, vacuum hoses, all of it. very good vendor too

Honestly I don't see the problem. You've been told 5/8ths works. You believed it enough to go buy 5/8ths hose. So please put the 5/8ths hose on and be happy. Mine hasn't leaked in over 3 years.

I posted this on the other thread as well...
I changed out all the hoses this weekend.
I was never able to secure p/n 12368235, so I used the 5/8 hose I bought from the auto parts store. This hose goes from the coolant reservoir tank back toward the firewall.
There is another hose that exits the tank going forward toward the radiator. I compared the ID of this hose with the 5/8 hose I bought used a tapered socket to see how far in the socket would go. It was virtually identical for both hoses, so I felt OK proceeding.
I did not replace the clamps except where, in the case of a couple of the hoses, they came with new clamps on them. The job was pretty straightforward and no leaks , so it looks like all my effort to try to locate p/n 12368235 was wasted time.
I hope this info helps anyone looking to do the same job.

FWIW, Mark Chevrolet in Wayne, MI is the only dealer in Michigan who currently has any in stock. Any dealer who was worth their weight would've done a search for you.

I did call Mark Chevrolet. I can't remember the exact story I got from them, but the bottom line was they did NOT have this p/n in inventory.
It was all around a VERY frustrating experience.

That's why I was so hesitant to start with and was so determined to get the right size (9/16). Had I discovered a big difference, I would have gone shopping at local parts stores looking for a better match, but luckily I didn't have to...

I know this is an old thread but felt it was worth posting this link.
