Default Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend 2014

It's that time of the year again. Who's making the trip this year? October 2-5.

I am hoping to show up Saturday and check it out. The plan calls for a friend of mine (and his wife) to take his recently acquired 04 and join my wife and me for a weekend get away to the area. Anybody making foliage predictions for the area during this weekend? One site said early October is possible for the northern part of the state. I guess if the leaves don't cooperate there is plenty of "color" on the road around Eureka Springs to see that weekend! Can't wait to check it out!!

Last year it was a lot more green, and rainy. We had a fairly long summer though. The year before that was beyond colorful. Hoping this year, we get the best of both worlds. Great colors and a dry weekend!

I never have been able to go to Eureka Springs because for 34 years I've officiated high school football and have always had a game.

It's tough finding something in town. Most people have already reserved their rooms the year before. We reserved our bed and breakfast 6 months ago. Some also require a 3 night stay, due to the event going on. Lots of rules, but worth it. Even if not for the show, the town and surroundings are awesome. Plenty of things to do during that weekend.

For anyone looking for a great bed and breakfast, walking distance to historic area, withhh paved private parking.. The all seasons inn has one room available for a 3 night stay only. Ya, it's the Christmas themed room, haha.

thanks Tommyxgun for the reply....considering there will be 2 rooms needed I will start checking in Rogers. I assume a pretty good turn out for the event is standard?

There is a reason every hotel, motel, bed and breakfast, treehouse, campground is booked. It's a damn good turnout! Plus, the town is fantastic.

I've been going to Eureka Springs for years and years and have never seen that this happens. I guess it's probably because I usually go in late October to view fall foliage (we usually go straight up from Little Rock to Harrison, and then shoot over), and also because I've just recently became a Corvette owner.

Man that sucks. I don't think I could set the time aside to go in early October. Plus I'd HAVE to stay in town (got married at a B&B in the historic district). I'd love to drive my newest acquisition up there though...

I will be there for Saturday and Sunday. We will be driving each day from the Springfield, Mo area and it's only an hour and a half drive. There should still be accommodations in this area or Branson.

It's good to see so many forum members going. Anyone going to caravan from Texas to AR?

Not a C5 owner but C1 and C2. Had a great time last year except for the rain. Stayed close by. I think Vintage Vettes of the Ozarks has reserved rooms for the club again. Had better check. Last year there were many cancellations due to the weather forecast. Hope for sun and fall colors.
