Default How is Carlisle on Sunday?

Is there a big difference from Friday or Saturday? Do you wait because of the weather? 50% change of rain on Saturday, 0% for Sunday

Hmmmmm...

Last year was my 1st year there, that being said Sunday had a smaller crowd and some of the smaller vendors had packed up and left. I hope that helps.

I would normally think Sunday would be a bust, but with this year's weather I'm hoping that it will draw a larger Sunday crowd.

Vendors are tired & wanna go home. Many leave early. Go Sat instead.
By vendors I mean anyone renting a space.

The more vendors pack up and leave early, the better for my wallet.

Friday was actually pretty good weather wise only twice it drizzled for about 5-10 mins otherwise it was overcast but no wash out, I was there from 7am-5pm still plenty of cars to view and was still pretty crowded. No complaints considering what was forecasted.

The NCM Homecoming Caravan leaves from Carlisle around noon-1PM (taking hundreds of cars with them). I expect the place will be a ghost town by then.

Great Informatiion and you may have more vettes showing up to leave with the caravan! Thank you! And you'll have last minute vendor specials, should be a great day.

It will be interesting to see if that occurs. There are groups of up to 100 cars that are working their way towards BG. Maybe some of them planned on a Carlisle stop over?

That is so ridiculously true. I drove 2 hours up to NH to check out a place for winter storage. Top down, 70MPH speed limit part of the way up, took country roads back down to MA. What a great day!

A bad day at Carlisle still beats a good day not having gone. There should still be enough to keep you interested. Having said that, despite the iffy weather, I still had a good time just going Friday and Saturday. I'm writing from home late tonight.

It was a great great day , still plenty to see with many many vettes on site. Traveling there on I-78 and I-81 I thought it was going to be a bust , as many vettes were already heading north and east , but upon arrival there was a lot going on and a lot of great deals to be found
Glad I went !

I went today Sunday. (posted pics just now in new post)
Based on the schedule it's better to go either Friday or Saturday. More to do (Seminars and such). Stays open until 6pm but only until 3pm on Sunday. Vendors for the most part start packing around noon on Sunday.
No seminars or other activities on Sunday except for the parade and award ceremony.
Still had a good time seeing all these Corvettes.

Went on Friday and Saturday and have to say it was GREAT! Had some rain Saturday morning but that didn't stop anyone from attending. It was packed with Vettes, vendors, and spectators. The temperature on both days was perfect. Friday was overcast and Saturday was cool and damp but overall a good day. Left on Sunday and a lot of people were leaving but still saw some Vettes heading in to the fairgrounds, since it was a nice sunny day. Overall, Saturday was the busiest day.

Default It's all about expectations!

I originally asked the question and did go on Sunday. Left really early to get there at 8:00. Saw 27 vettes leaving that early. Pulled right in, no traffic.

I'd say the amount of vettes was about 20% of a normal day. The corral was about the same, far and few between. A majority of the small vendors had left. We even walked to where they were lining up the vettes for the caravan.

But the best part of the day was getting a free analysis of my 97 up on a lift by Paul. That was worth the entire trip!
