HUD bezel replacement
Hey guys,
One of my friends is looking for a specific HUD bezel replacement. I found a few online, ebay, and amazon. However, I am not sure it is the right one, so I need your help to point me in the right direction so I can in turn, point him.
He said that over time the hole/dash shrinks over time and then the bezel for the HUD doesn't fit well, and become loose. Then a company made a bezel that is slightly larger than the regular ones so that when this shrinking or looseness occurs the bezel doesn't get still stays in place.
Hopefully someone out there knows what I am talking about and can point me to a site to buy the replacement.
Thanks guys.

Haven't heard of a bezel like that but perhaps someone has.

I bought mine from the dealer. I did not want to use a repro for such a time consuming venture.
The whole dash has to come out to replace that one piece. I used a pro to do mine , but I helped to reduce cost.
I did not have a problem with the piece shrinking, if anything it's the dash that shrinks, but mine cracked from the heat.

I replaced mine last year, and the replacement did not fully cover the dash as you described due to the vinyl shrinking. I would love to find a bezel that you are describing. I just went up to the dealership and bought mine, it was like $35. I put it in myself, you just have to remove the dash pad, which sounds harder than it is.

If you want to remove the dash pad yourself it is fairly easy. Easier than many ones where you have to remove the windshield to get to some screws. Many novices have been successful. Just bag and tag all the various fasteners for reinstallation.
