Default Night cruise with top down scare

The wife and I took the vert to Dauphin Island tonight with the top down, about a 1 1/2 hour round trip cruise from home here in Mobile. At 7:00 when we left it was 90 degrees with 90% humidity. Frickin' sticky on the Gulf Coast. Anyway, running the A/C made it comfortable. On the way back I feel water dripping on my feet. I think "Oh S@#&!!, a/c drain stopped up". Pulled over at first chance to check it out. Relief, not the a/c drain, just so much humidity that the a/c vents all had condensation built up on them and it was dripping down from there. Man, I though BCM, fuse box short catastrophe. Luckily not. But I will say this, tomorrow I think I will go out and check all of my drains, something I have been putting off.

I've had cars do that too - really weird to see the water dripping off the A/C vents.

My friends old 944 would literally spit water at you on humid days with the ac on full.

I would guess that could be a bad evaporator...

No, that is a totally overwhelmed evap coil and drain system, moving so much moist humid air and hitting its due point on the evap coil, the fan is flinging it,(water) right out the vents!

I live nearby & the heat/humidity the last couple weeks has been horrible. But in a month or so, it'll be perfect top down weather.
