Default Rocking seat fixed!!!

With such low mileage I was amazed at how bad the rubber pieces looked!!

Nothing like 33 cent nylon washers from Ace to solve a problem.

A couple pics of what was in there.

And here's the directions I followed. Very well done I might add!

Found the same thing on mine at 33k miles...but the seat had been rocking since I bought it four years ago at 29k miles. I think it has as much to do with age as miles.

Just took it for a spin. Unbelievable what 4 - 33 cent washers and a little time can do!!

Like many, I'm always hesitant to try some of these "simple" projects, but this one truly was simple and the end result, oh yeah!!

Congrats on getting the seat fixed. And great that you could do it for such a small cost.

Great to see creativity and ingenuity used to solve a problem. And for essentially no cost, that's a huge bonus.

At least you had some rubber left. I had none. I hope you found enough change under the seats to finance the washer purchase. I made a profit.

I fixed both seats on my 97 with only 36K miles. There was NO rubber leaft at all.

Very easy fix, took about 1.5 hrs, and most of that time was spent on sanding down the Nylon washers.
