Are longer wheel bolts needed for 4mm spacers?
I'm about to start my brake upgrade project. I have a full set of Baer Eradispeed +2 rotors on order with new OEM AC Delco semi-metallic pads and Russell Braided brake lines.
I am running a set of 19" CCW 505As and after talking with John, he sent me two 4MM spacers for the back wheels. I know that Toque and some others on the forum have grinded down their calipers in order to fit the CCW 3-inch lip wheels over the bigger rear brake kit, however I thought I would try spacers first and if I change my mind, I can always grind down the calipers over the winter.
The 4MM spacers are about the size of 3 CDs stacked on top of each other so they are not very thick, just enough for the wheels to clear the +2 roters that will push the calipers further out.
I appreciate any feedback on whether I need any longer wheel bolts.
Thanks!

I have 1/4" (6.35mm) spacers on my car with stock studs, 4mm will be fine.
That being said, I wish there were ARP studs the same length as stock but threaded all the way to the end. That would be the ideal setup IMO.

Thanks. What wheel/brake kit combo are you running?

Cray/TSW Brickyard 19x11 +73mm with 305/30/19 Bridgestone RE-11's over C6 Z51 brakes. I need the spacers because of the big offset of the wheels though - the tires might rub the inner fenders when hitting bumps. I have miles of space around the brakes and brake ducts. The spacers also push the tires out almost perfectly flush with the fenders.

I agree with the others. You're good up to 5 mm. After that, longer studs.

You can do what I did when I put 5/16 spacers on my car. I used what is called et lugs. They have the acorn or tapered seat with an extension to go through the rim by about 1/4".
