Default More Tire Stretching Fun

Since this went over so well last time, why not try it again

I've acquired some 12" wide rear wheels in a non-C5 offset. Now the fun of seeing if I can make them work.

Note, 345s won't be making it on these

Wish me luck

Bonus game: Name all the items you can see in the reflection of my C5Z.

Many people like to stick a crap ton of chrome, louvers, and the most horrendous wheels you can find on their cars . Others will paint cartoon characters and random murals on their hood liners. Props for doing something different than what's out there regardless of people's opinions. Hope it turns out as planned.

Even if it's against the law? He'd have to get flared fenders to be legal. Not to mention blasting the sides of his car with road debris. Still a poor idea. People tub their cars to get fat wheels (the best way) or at least get fender flares.

The wheel will be outside of the car, not the tire. The narrower tire will "stretch" on the wheel and go back into the fender. If necessary, I may have to add a little negative camber, but I'm hoping the light stretch will do the trick.

From your pic, the wheel AND tire will be out. Might want to check with the local LEO's but I'm pretty sure it's going to be against the law.

Not a good look or a good thing for the bottom of your car - - sell the wheels and replace them with something that actually fits your car.

Tires have been ordered. 245/40/18 fronts and 305/30/19 rears. Should work out perfectly on the 9.5" and 12" wheels and fit nicely.

Yes, I'm pretty bored with my current setup and want to go back to a flush type setup with a light stretch as I miss the look.

I had 285-35-19 on 19x12 wheels and the tire did not stick out past the fender. Here are pics of it and when I put 325-30-19 on them. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...with-pics.html

I also have 235-40-18 on the front.

Really doesn't bother me what people think. Do what you want.

Whoa your back at it with more wheels huh… I know how much fun my guy (mmr23) had getting the 305's on your old set of 11" wide rears I can't even imagine all the fun your about to have since I know how much you love that stretched look.

Good luck man can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm still waiting on my fenders to come in then I will be in the market for 12" rears myself. Hey, you might be changing wheels again by that time let me know if you wanna sell me some more

It's a thing, google "stance" or "stretch and poke" and prepare to be confused.
