Mothers Wash and Wax
I searched and didn't find any information on this product so I thought I would share.
On a whim I picked up some Mothers California Gold Wash and Wax. I used it on the vette the other day and noticed it looked real good after the wash, but it has a pretty decent shine on it so I didn't think a whole lot about it.
So yesterday I helped my wife wash her Camry and used it. All I can say is
WOW, The car looks like I just waxed it. I figured most of this stuff was more hype than reality but I can tell you this stuff works likes they claim it will.
You may not notice it on your detailed vette as much, but it did an excellent job on my wife's Camry. I know there are other similar products but I've never tried them because like I said I figured it was hype.
Try it, you'll be amazed as I was and it takes a lot to amaze me with products like this.
I also decided to try some Turtle Wax Ice. I waxed my Mustang and it came out great. No residue on the black trim pieces at all.
I put it on by hand and not with my buffer. My first impressions are it's great for a car that doesn't have swirls or scratches and just needs a coat of wax. If you need to buff I would suggest using a swirl scratch remover before applying the Turtle Wax Ice.
I could have put this in the car care section but thought it would be seen by more people here.
Thanks. Happy detailing!

Thanks for the review Mike. I use Turtle Wax Ice on my C5 as well as our two DDs and it does do a good job. Lasts quite a while too.

I use it as well. I have tried several "pro grade" car washes and in my opinion this stuff works just as good. Super thick foam, leaves the car nice and slick, and it smells nice too! Best part is I can pick it up at the local auto parts store.

Just did mine as well with same product from Walmart. The only difference is, once I get the Vette all cleaned and rinsed off, I usually go back over the car once again with a second "coat" of wash/wax, let it sit on the Vette for about 2-3 minutes, then rinse again.
