Cool looking car !

Not what I want for a real "performance" car though.
Not weighing that much for sure.

I'll keep my nimble 3100lb 555HP Z06 all day long...
My weight/power ratio is lower (better) than that car anyway.

I know I can "at least" hang with it... and I have no car payment...

No car payment FTW

Although with buying yours new, your total investment after all the mods is probably pretty close.

Similar on cost I suppose... I have about 63K in it.
(I purchased my Z06 new in 2004 for $42.5K)
New Hell Cat's will run $65K with decent options (not including dealer markups)

I got to start driving my car in 2004 though, and did not have to wait till 2015...

it (the hellcat) looks like a pregnant American woman, who put on 80 pounds, when her doctor told to only put on 20 pounds.

That pig isn't EVER losing all that fat !!!

I guess im one of the few people on her who thinks the corvette isn't the best car in the world. I'm one of the few who loves the new challenger hellcat. yes its not a C5 but its not competing with any corvette. its more of a GT (grand touring) car with tons of power you can go out and drag race and drive it home. Everyone talks about it being heavy but hell the ZL1 witch is comparable to weights 4,150lbs and makes way less power. Im they guy who loves all cars no matter what they are.

Also

Base C7 $52k 0-60 4.3 1/4 12.4

Base Hellcat $59k 0-60 3.5 1/4 11.2 and 10.8 DR

not to many cars with that kind of performance and HP for under $60k

I happen to agree with "envy". The Hellcat is a beautiful car. This may have something to do with me owning a 2012SRT8 Challenger. I draw much more attention with it than a vette ever dreamed of. They are different cars with different uses. My 2002 vette is a very good looking car and I love to look at it. The Challenger does have a beautiful shape. It weighs quite a bit and it drives amazingly well. It has room for 5 and cruises comfortably and gets up and goes very quickly. It also can go 185mph. It is nice to have that capability. It does not feel like a coffin. Mustangs and Camaros don't have the room I need. To each his own. I have a hard time deciding which car to drive on a daily basis.

No c6 came in that color. he means stock as in no mods but that was not a color option for the c6..

Funny part a lot of guys are modded and the hellcat still runs mid 120with 100k warranty your not so much..It's no slouch and it can cruise with creature comforts.. I know I give up some creature comforts for my hp and I'm sure others that trap that do to. Some of you old farts need to step out of the box. The c5 is a dog these days. hell even with my 668rwhp I'm still considered "slow". Dodge has a huge hit less then 60k, 700+ hp, traps mid 120's and comes with a warranty and you can cruise that bitch any day of the week and fit 4-5 people in it. Some exotics can't even touch that. Some of you guys are blinded by your louvers and gold chains. Wake up and smell reality. Our **** is old and not the "cool kid" it's a OG that still gets it's props but it's a different world now. try to keep up

one key component is horse power to weight ratio...the new hellcat is heavy, granted it does move and is quick, but none to less still a tank, my S/C Z06 I would almost bet I would hand a Hellcat there lunch!

A modded car vs a stock car??And he adds a pulley and tune and screams by you...apples to oranges man. It will take less then a grand for that bitch to trap 130s...Can you say that about your z when it was new?

I still can't get over all the Vet drivers that keep bashing the Hellcat and they aren't even in the same category. If they were in the same category the magazines would be doing side by side comparisonns it the Vet, not the ZL1 and GT500.
Compare your Vet to something in its own category, then I will be impressed.

I think some of the people in here are in the wrong forum... all joking aside, I really like the way they look and for what they are it's a good value, dodge had to up their game to compete with the gt500 and zl1... would I trade my z for one or spend 60k on one?... not a chance

on the other side of the fence you know the guys buying the hellcat will feel like they have the fastest car out there and probably feel like they are on a different level from a c5, which it probably would hand most c5's it's *** on a silver platter on the street, but there's still a few of us out there that can give them a reality check... calling a car with a blower "stock" is debatable though
