Man are these things incredible. Friend of mine brought one home from work. 700hp makes this boat move.

It may be faster but your Vette looks way better.

They're supposed to be awesome cars. Unfortunately, they weigh-in at around 4450 lbs. Motor Trend got one to run an 11.7 sec @ 125.4 mph.

Gee, looks like they brought back the old colors. Were not fond of them then or now. To each his own though. Had a 426 Hemi Challenger but it was black.

I thought I read the Charger with the same motor ran 11.6! OOPS!

I believe they managed a 10.8x on DRs.

I'm not a fan of dodge products, but the car is pretty cool. I also like that dodge offers bright as well as throwback colors instead of five shades of gray like a lot of car manufacturers.

Chevy's used that color, too actually.

He said it was even the same color code of paint. Lot less of a brick, though.

I may be wrong, but I don't think that a color used at the Corvette factory. I don't have my black book handy.

I have never seen that color offered on a C6.

I guess I might be in the few that think the Hellcat looks better than a C5

He said it was stock, it was a vert, too if I recall. I think I have another picture of it somewhere. It was at the Rose City Corvette Classic at PIR.

Wow. really

Big Hp is a great thing, but this is just not a "complete package" car. They stuck a big engine in it with some bigger brakes. I could NEVER see myself owning this or any other Chrysler product.
Big boat with an strong engine. (who knows if it will be dependable) I'll take my better looking Vette, that comes in at 1200lbs less with 200+ more hp.

What the hell are people going to do with all this mega-HP that's coming out in cars lately ? They can't use it on the streets because they can't hook with regular tires .. and if they did they'd be a danger to themselves and other on the road !
Hell my stock C5 has enough HP to get me in trouble with the LEO's

That's a very good question. I would rather have a super light car with not enough power than a 700 hp brick that weighs 4500 lbs. It's way more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

Advanced traction control systems are what allows the power to be useful in these new cars. Of course better tires are needed but you can only expect so much from the factory.

I do think it's a hideous heavy turd. Even if my car was making half the power it would absolutely rape it. Same goes for all these would be muscle cars as of late. Heck I have as much whp from a mild H/C build in my 99 as a new CTS-V. And way WAY lighter.

To each their own. But what a waste of money if you ask me. Just like the Viper. Big engine, worthless car. It's not that good on any kind of track or strip.

I had a 2009 Challenger R/T Hemi 6 speed with ungraded Corsa true dual exhaust from the Mopar Performance Parts catalog. It was fun, very fast, and dangerous. I couldn't see out of it (huge blind spots) and driving it in the rain was a challenge due to the torque and lack of traction. But it was comfortable, looked cool and got a lot of looks and thumbs-up from both the drivers that remember the original muscle cars and younger drivers as well. Now I have a black 2002 Z06. For some reason, it does not draw nearly as much attention around here. But I like it much better! Actually, a bunch better than my black 1980 Corvette.

Nice looking car and I'm sure it is fast, but for the money I would much rather have a more complete package in the C7.
