Default Hood emblem

Is it sacriligious to put another generation's emblem on the hood? I removed mine from the hood and the trunk right after I bought because they were incredibly dirty around them and I like the clean look. What I didnt realize was that there would be 2 holes in the front where the emblem is supposed to be and that new emblems for the C5 cost $70+.

I realy like the futuristic lok of the c7 carbon fiber emblems, but wasnt sure if that was frowned upon by the corvette crowd.

Generally, yes it is frowned upon to put another generation's emblem on the C5. But hey, it's your car so do what makes you happy, not what someone else thinks.

I think the waterfall emblem is the same as the hood emblem and rear deck emblem.
(My 01 rear deck emblem deteriorated, cracked, and lost the flag inserts)

I bought replacements from RPI for 24.95.

Used the 10% off code they occasionally post, too.

I opted to modify the C5 emblem. Its not as cumbersome as the original, and easier to clean around. I also removed the trunk emblem.

Never made sense to me to change out C5 emblems to another generation's emblems, but if it makes you happy, go for it!

That looks awesome. Exactly what I was trying to accomplish too. Thanks!
