recently purchased a set of c6 seats for my c5 but need help with installation... i did a bunch of searches and everybody says mount them on the c5 rails, why cant i mount the c6 rails? do they not directly bolt on to the car? or is it just wiring? my driver side rail is broken and has the rockin syndrome, and well the c6 track is basically brand new , i need your help and opinions please(dont want to fix c5 track or purchase another one when i have the almost brand new c6 track)

I assume the interface with C6 wiring and electronics is the problem and that is probably what you are going to be told.

thanks, yup seen the video but if i can avoid it i will, i know someone had said they bought the c6 connector and rewire it to the c5, i was just wondering if the tracks from the c6 will work, honestly sounds alot easier and faster to cut the c5 connector and rewire the c6 connector for plug and play to the seat .any more opinions are welcome

I believe most folks transplant the C5 tracks (to the C6 seat) to make it fit perfectly. There's a wiring post here on CF that I've seen before.

I have C6 seats in my C5, BUT I converted them to manual rails.

#1-The C6 rails WILL bolt into a C5-that's not the problem.

#2-If you use the C6 power rail you need to do wiring-what wiring, I'm not sure.

Ok thanks for the reply , that's what I was wondering , my c5 rail is broken , didn't want to spend money on rebuilding it or fixing it , now I just got to worry about the wiring , Im waiting on a reply from a for member that bought the c6 connector and re wired it to the c5 ,hopefully he can help me figure this out , I appreciate you guys help
